Trademark attribution

There is no need to add trademark attribution for Splunk products in documentation. Splunk trademarks are listed on the website footer.

When you write Splunk docs, don't add trademark attribution for Splunk products. Splunk trademarked items are in the footer of the splunk.com and help.splunk.com webpages.

Referring to Splunk

Use Splunk as a noun if you mean the company. Don't use Splunk as a verb. You can use Splunk as an adjective. For example, "Search your data using Splunk software." See Splunk product terminology to follow the appropriate product terminology in your writing.

Referring to any trademarked term

Don't use an apostrophe to make product names, company names, or trademarked terms possessive or plural. Don't add trademark attribution to third-party companies or product names. Incorrect use can dilute trademarks or registered trademarks. See the following examples:
