Integrate Splunk AppDynamics with Splunk Observability Cloud

Note: This feature is only available on the Kubernetes pods and workloads navigators. On the workloads navigator, Related Content is only supported for deployment and StatefulSet instances.
Splunk AppDynamics is an application performance monitoring (APM) platform that provides visibility into your applications, which can be deployed on Kubernetes workloads or pods. You can integrate Splunk AppDynamics with Splunk Observability Cloud to enable Splunk AppDynamics Related Content on supported Kubernetes navigators.

Use Splunk AppDynamics Related Content to:

  • Correlate Splunk AppDynamics application performance monitoring (APM) entities with their underlying Kubernetes infrastructure in Splunk Observability Cloud to more effectively monitor and troubleshoot issues with your applications.

  • Understand the relationships and dependencies between Splunk Observability Cloud infrastructure entities and Splunk AppDynamics APM entities.

  • Quickly navigate to related entities in Splunk AppDynamics.

Complete the following high-level steps to enable and view Splunk AppDynamics Related Content on Kubernetes navigators.

  1. Enable Splunk AppDynamics Related Content in Kubernetes navigators. You must have the admin role in Splunk AppDynamics and Splunk Observability Cloud to perform this step.
  2. View Splunk AppDynamics Related Content in Kubernetes navigators.
