Analytics Agent

  • The Analytics Agent is now built with Java 17 and requires JRE 17 to run the Analytics Agent executable.

  • From this release, Splunk AppDynamics will no longer publish a Windows Docker image for the Analytics Agent. Instead, a downloadable zip file is now available at Downloads Portal. This package includes a sample Dockerfile, a ReadMe file with setup instructions, and the required scripts to help users build and configure Analytics Agent Windows Docker images in their own environments.

Cluster AgentThis release includes the following enhancements and some bug fixes:
  • Cluster Agent image is upgraded to Golang 1.24.5.
  • You can use Cluster Agent to install Splunk OTel Collector, which helps to integrate Splunk AppDynamics SaaS Controller 25.7 and Splunk Observability Cloud. See Install Splunk OTel Collector Using Cluster Agent

Private Synthetic Agent
This release supports:

This release ships a .tar file that contains pre-packaged Docker images of the Private Synthetic Agent (PSA) for Web monitoring and API monitoring. It contains images of the Measurement containers, Orchestrator, and the Ignite in-memory database. So, you can deploy PSA even when you do not have access to the Internet and DockerHub.
