In Controller, an administrator logged in with local credentials must re-enter their current password before modifying user credentials on the Administration > Users page. This security measure prevents unauthorized admins from altering account credentials.

Alerting

In the HTTP request template or in email template, you can now use the following predefined variable to include the AppDynamics database hostname in the alerts:

${latestEvent.eventProperties.hostname}

The hostname is registered in the CMDB record and is required for proper correlation and incident management.

Licensing

For the Agent-based Licensing account, you can now view the Usage(Bytes) and Usage(Count)storage usage metrics for each application in the License > Application level usage tree in the Metric Browser.

The storage metrics are currently available for Transaction Analytics, Browser Real User Monitoring, and Mobile Real User Monitoring applications. These metrics are supported on Events Service 26.1.0 or later. You can use the metrics to create health rules and monitor which application is consuming more storage and limit it.

To enable this feature, set the following flag:

appdynamics.licensing.usages.report.per-app.business-metrics.storage.enabled= true

Note: With this release, the Log Tail widget will no longer be available on Custom Dashboards. You will not be able to create new instances of this widget, and any existing Log Tail widgets in older war rooms will be hidden.

Agent Management Enhancements

This release includes the following enhancements:
  • The supported agents now automatically release their licenses to the pool when disabled and reacquire them when re-enabled. This enhancement allows for more efficient license distribution across your environment and eliminates the need to terminate agent processes or restart applications to free up licenses for other agents.
