Manage collaboration and other board options

Use the board options menu to configure layout, manage boards, generate reports, track activity, and collaborate with other users in AI Canvas.

In the top right of an AI Canvas board, you can access board management options.

  • Canvas Home: click to return to the AI Canvas in Splunk landing page.
  • <Board name>: click to manually rename the current AI Canvas board.

  • <Username icon>: displays an icon for the current logged in user. Hover over the icon to view the email address associated with the user.

  • Share:

    • Invite collaborators: invite users in your organization to collaborate on this board by copying the invite link and sending it to them. Collaborators have edit access to the board. Multiple users can access and edit a board simultaneously.
    • View collaborators: view all users who have access to this board.

  • Click the ellipsis icon to access more configuration options:

    • Rename: manually rename the current AI Canvas board.

    • Auto-rename: automatically rename the current AI Canvas board. A new name is generated based on the content of the cards in the board.

    • Duplicate: duplicate the current board to create a new board with the same cards.

    • Clear canvas: remove all cards from the board.

    • Archive canvas: archive the board. Archived boards do not display in the AI Canvas in Splunk landing page. You can restore and permanently delete archived boards from Settings > Archived in the AI Canvas in Splunk landing page.

    • Delete canvas: permanently delete board. You cannot restore a deleted board.

    • View all canvases: go to the AI Canvas in Splunk landing page.

In the floating pane on the right, you can access other board and card management options:

  • Auto layout: organize cards automatically.

  • Add image: add an image card to the board.

  • Add text annotation: add a text element to the board.

  • Lock cards: lock the cards on the board so that they cannot be moved.

  • Enter full screen: view the board in full screen mode.

  • Generate summary: generate a report that summarizes the information in the canvas. You can also download the report as a PDF.

  • View activity: open the Activity timeline panel to view all actions that users have performed on this board.

  • Show minimap: show or hide the map inset in the lower right corner.

  • Open debug panel: open a debug panel where you can access information and settings about the board to troubleshoot issues.

  • Collapse or Expand the floating pane.
