Version 4.2.0 of Splunk DB Connect was released on February 2, 2026 and contains the following new or changed features:
- Improved checkpoint synchronization for High Availability clusters to ensure a consistent state across all members.
- Prevented parallel execution of the same input in High Availability clusters, reducing the risk of data duplication.
- Added automatic leader re-election in High Availability clusters to improve resiliency and availability.
- Added support for Databricks as a data source.
- Extended table-level filtering with search support.
- Added the ability to open database connections directly from the Input, Output, Lookup, and Query Explorer views.
- Removed custom access control definitions from app.conf to avoid unintended global permission impacts.
- Introduced a Java diagnostics option in configuration settings to simplify troubleshooting and performance analysis.
- Replaced the hardcoded JDBC driver version with automatic retrieval during installation from the Splunk DB Connect UI.
- Enhanced UI validation by introducing a new validation framework with clearer and more consistent messages.
- Improved JVM options configuration, adding support for multi-line input to make editing easier.
