About the Content Pack for Cisco Data Center

The Content Pack for Cisco Data Center provides the following features:

• Entity discovery searches to discover and create entities based on ingested data. You can enable this search manually or through the guided installation of the content pack.

• Entity types to group entities that have similar data sources and manage entities in bulk.

• Vital metrics that describe the performance of the entity type.

• Entity dashboards that enable you to access and monitor data for different entity types.

• Service templates that provide predefined service properties to create and manage multiple services. Any changes you make to a template are applied to all linked services.

• KPI base searches, which enable you to share a search definition across multiple KPIs to reduce search load and improve search performance.

• Alerts data integrations that:

  • Ingest anomalies and advisories from Nexus Dashboard and normalize them as ITSI alerts.

  • Correlate alerts at a network-only level to reduce alert noise.

  • Correlate alerts across network and application/infrastructure monitoring tools.

    Note:

    ITSI 4.20.x and higher supports configuring alerts using the generic data integration. ITSI 4.21.x and higher supports configuring alerts using the specific Cisco Nexus Dashboard data integration. • Search Macros for common use cases such as index macro and data conversion/normalization.
