In the Create Health Rule wizard, you select all entities such as All Business Transactions in the Application, All Tiers in the Application in the Affected Entities tab and configure a Critical Criteria or a Warning Criteria for these entities. For creating health rules, you can now use the new baseline Adaptive Weekly Trend - Last 3 Month. The adaptive baseline configuration is designed to provide more robust and reliable health rule evaluation by minimizing the impact of outliers in metrics data. Unlike traditional dynamic baselines, which can be significantly skewed by sudden spikes or anomalies, the adaptive baseline caps the effect of such outliers, maintaining a more accurate reference point for health rule evaluation. See Adaptive Baselines. Note: This documentation mentions a feature that is currently only available as an early preview ("Beta"). Splunk AppDynamics reserves the right to change the Beta and its documentation including the content herein, at any time, for any reason, and without notice or compensation to you before making it generally available as well as never making it generally available. This documentation is not a guarantee of future product features and should not be relied upon in making any purchasing decisions. Actual product results may vary from forward-looking statements due to factors including but not limited to: changes in Splunk AppDynamics and third-party technologies, factors related to the economy and target markets, acquisitions of other companies, the hiring and termination of personnel, and other factors. Licensing |
For the Infrastructure-based Licenses accounts, the delayed fallback mode is now enhanced and enabled by default to avoid license usage spikes and loss of information from the rejected agents. When the system cannot detect its vCPU information, instead of rejecting the agents for few minutes before they start consuming fallback units, the agents are let in and register with 0 license units to report the data. If the vCPU count is still unknown after specified time (few minutes), they start consuming the fallback license units. With this enhancement, the Allow agents to temporarily register with 0 units on hosts lacking vCPU information toggle is now enabled by default on the Create APM License Rule page. You can't disable this toggle. Previously, this toggle was called as WAIT FOR VCPU INFORMATION BEFORE REGISTERING AGENTS. |
