Kubernetes Health Rules and Alerting
Cluster Agent provides comprehensive alerting and health rule capabilities for Kubernetes environments. You can define detailed health rules for Kubernetes entities such as, Cluster, Namespace, Workload, and Pod. You can also evaluate metric data against these rules. When health rule violations occur, incidents are automatically managed, enabling proactive detection and streamlined response across all levels of the Kubernetes hierarchy. For additional details on alerting, see the Alert and Respond Documentation.
Benefits of Kubernetes Alerting Feature
-
Define health rules at the Namespace and workload levels to improve observability and control.
-
Enable proactive alerting for potential issues, reducing the need for manual dashboard inspection.
-
Align alerting structure with the native Kubernetes hierarchy (Cluster > Namespace > Workload > Pod) for easier navigation.
-
Provide unified and consistent alert configuration with full integration for Kubernetes entities beyond custom events.
-
Offer dashboards with entity-level health and alert visibility to enhance operational awareness and efficiency.
